Developing a global perspective and understanding
The international dimension is a really important feature of school life allowing pupils to experience and develop their global perspective and understanding. Through partnerships at home and abroad pupils gain the cultural awareness, respect for others and the skills they need to live and work as global citizens.
Volunteering and charitable activities
Participation in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme to Bronze, Silver and Gold level is encouraged and pupils are also involved in a range of volunteering and charitable activities such as World Challenge expeditions and the Habitat for Humanity project. Opportunities to travel and visit places of interest both close to home and further afield abound at Victoria College. Pupils and staff have recently enjoyed educational visits to Washington DC, Philadelphia, New York and Madrid.
